You will need to bring the following documentation: child's birth certificate, immunization record, and two proofs of residence. 2009-2010 Cluster Forums
In an effort to reach out to school/community stakeholders and engage in some proactive dialogue, I will be conducting a series of Cluster Forums during the 2009-2010 school year. These forums will be held at each cluster's high school media center on the last Thursday of the month (except in November and December due to holidays). See Forum Schedule below.
Each principal has been asked to identify two parent leaders to represent the school and community to be active participants in constructive discussions on how we can improve the school system and provide greater opportunities for students. Designated School Board members will also be participants in the discussions. All other interested parties are invited to attend the Cluster Forums as observers.

The Wingate Star Academy
Wingate Elementary School is embarking on a new mission and focus with the pioneering of the Wingate Elementary STAR Academy. The STAR Academy is designed to nurture and strengthen our students to prepare them to excel in school and in life. The SHINE principles of Seek, Honor, Imagine, Never Give Up, Every Day are the foundation of all we do as lifelong learners and productive citizens. The STAR Academy is designed to cultivate purposefulness, resourcefulness, and efficacy. Possession of The STAR Academy principles is fundamental for success in school as well as in life.
In order to foster successful students, classrooms and school community, our principles must be embraced and internalized with consistent implementation. The STAR values will be explicitly taught in classrooms and are to be demonstrated by all students and staff. Teachers, students and parents will be required to make a commitment to excellence and to follow non-negotiable expectations. The following manual will provide more information about our mission; the STAR values, their implementation, and expectations for teachers, students, and parents so that all can succeed.
